Dear Potter family
Please accept our condolences on the passing of your dad and mom. We just read this tonight.
You don't know us, but we bought our first home from your parents on 10 Whispering Ridge. We loved that home,
but as our family grew we had to move. We have many fond memories of our first home and of the lovely people we bought it from. We speak of them often. They were so kind to us just starting out.
We wish you well.
Sincerely Jennifer Williams and Dave Read

We are so very saddened and sorry to hear about Albert's passing. Not only was Albert a great neighbour, he was a dear friend too. He was a real gentleman with such a kind heart and a wonderful sense of humour who will be deeply missed. We feel so fortunate, however, to have known him and are lucky to have such fond memories of him.
With deepest sympathy,
Marie and Norm Boucher

I have lots of happy memories of Albert, my brother -in-law of over 50+ years when he married my sister Edith all those years ago . He was a very kind person and would do anything for those he loved , nothing was too much trouble. I remember sitting on the back of his motorbike and side car all the way to the east coast of Yorkshire for a family holiday, with our Edith and, Tim & Paul sat in the sidecar , it seemed a very long way in this days . Again when I was a teenager helping Albert with his ice cream van , selling ice creams and sundaes around the Kirkstall area of Leeds , it was quite fun. He never changed and was just the same when I visited a few years a gal and had the opportunity to speak to him on FaceTime this year when Evan was staying over here in England. I have so many good memories of Albert and send all our love and. Condolences to you all . she & Paul xxx
I’ve added some photos , one with Paul & I in Palm Springs when we went to Florida with Albert & Edith, two of our family holidays in Filey , England and one of me, Albert , my sister June and brother Martin when we last came to Canada

Thank you Sue for such a lovely reflection. He always talked about his family across the pond and I know it meant a great deal to him to have the chance to connect again this year.

Little was I to know how much the person on the other end of a phone call made one Sunday in 2012 would come to mean to me. Albert was the relative I didn’t know existed but what an impact he made in my life. After talking via skype for a year and after some urging I visited Canada and met this man (my second cousin) and his wonderful family in 2013. What a kind, delightful and funny man with a sharp as a tack mind. We shared a road trip to the zoo where we got lost three times and ended up in fits of laughter – he told me about the love of his life wife Edith who he had lost a year before, we sang to Adele & I introduced him to Chris Isaac, we covered some important family territory over the years investigating our family tree and I got to know a man of integrity and compassion who stood for what he believed in. He enriched my life and it is better for having known him.
Rest in Peace dearest Albert you are now with your beloved Edith. Marg Toon (Australia)
