I connected with Nate through Pokemon GO, as I was outside in winter playing the game he asked if I would like to warm up and sit in his taxi while he waited for someone to call for a cab. He was a very respectful and welcoming member of the community and I like to believe we became friends past the game. I was very proud to know him and often just continued to play the game for an excuse to catch up. I got to meet his son, whom he often talked about in high regard. He was someone I admired for his kindness and love for others. Nate, you will be missed.

I am sadden to hear of Nate's passing. My condolences to his family.... During the teenage years and early twenties Nate was a part of my life and memories. Over time circumstances, distance, different paths and other reason had separated our friendship. However, I do look back and fondly remember the times we had together. He was a very kind, trustworthy and loyal friend. We sometimes had disagreements but always respected each other. Nate and I shared a love of basketball and played it behind his house in the park. Neither of us were great but we pushed each other and had fun. Also,we were competitive in video game basketball ( NBA Jam). We spent many times hanging out talking about life and music, cruising in our cars and playing lots of pool. RIP brother....
