Tonin, Dino:
Dino passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of the late Hazel Malott (1975) and friend of Rita Hyde. Loving father of Debbie Fagerdahl (John Thomson), and Brenda Tonin. Dear Nonno of Michael, Melissa, and Taylor (Nick Horn). Dear brother of Aldo (Elvia), the late Bruno (Donna Sommerville), Louie (Pam Willis), and Rose (Corado Uliana). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Dino is best known by his avid followers for his sausage and fresh eggs. Heartfelt thanks to the many caregivers and medical teams for their support for Dino and his family over the past months.

The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, attendees must RSVP ahead and must wear a mask upon entering. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre or the Alzheimer’s Society of Waterloo Wellington, would be appreciated by the family.

Due to COVID 19, NO FUNERAL MASS will be taking place until after the pandemic. A small private service for his children and grandchildren only will take place. The small private family service will be live streamed on the internet VIA ZOOM, link and information to follow below.

Dear Rita, we were so saddened to hear about Dino's passing. Dino was always very friendly and loved teasing my children about their delivery of the Guelph Mercury to his home! We will miss him in the neighbourhood!

Dino was a great friend and partner to Rita. I remember the UCW (Tru Ki Lo) potlucks where was on the barbecue cooking up our sausage on a bun. He will be missed by many

Always will remember his kindness and willingness to do things for others. From going to the market and getting eggs as well cleaning windows while babysitting Melissa. Dino will be missed by many who loved him. RIP NONO. Steve

Brenda, Melissa, Michael, Rita and all of Dino’s family:
We are sorry for your loss. Dino has been our neighbour for more than 20 years. He never passed by without rolling down his car window to wave or shout “hello” (or, if the opportunity arose, to stealthily drive up behind me, honk and shout, “Did I scare ya?”)! What a great person to know. He, and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers.
