Obituary

Mrs. Lucy Book
January 25, 1922 - February 17, 2019

With sad but peaceful hearts, we share the news of the passing of our beloved Lucy.

She was the loving and loved wife for 75 years of Bill. Beloved mother of David and his wife Wendy, Margaret and her husband Bruce and Kathy and her husband Brian. She was the cherished grandma to Peter, Sarah (Owen), David (Betty), Zoe (Dave) and Beau and great-grandmother to Isaac, Elliott, Jacob, Eva and Adrian.

She is survived by her beloved sister Leone, her many cherished nieces and nephews and by her good friend Helen-Marie Robins. Lucy was predeceased by her parents Mary and Alex Allan and also by her siblings Jessie, Margaret, Isabelle, Jean, Jim and Jack and by their spouses.

Her family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph for a service to commemorate her life on Friday, March 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation 1 hour prior. If so desired, memorial donations made to Harcourt Memorial United Church, Sleeping Children around the world or the MS Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Her spirit lives on in the many lives she touched.

Always a friendly face in the window walking to and from school and watching Grant and I play catch on the street for many years thereafter. An exceptionally special and loving person Mrs. Book was.
