WOJNAROWSKI, Lucy Teresa - (née Zolkowski) passed peacefully into the armsof her Lord on December 24, 2020, in her 91st year. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Wojnarowski (2005). She is survived by her son John (Shirley) Wojnarowski and by her 5 grandchildren Michael, Melissa, Jazmin, Nicholas, and Ashlee as well as 5 great-grandchildren Taelyn, Haelie, Xander, Jaxxson and James. She was predeceased by her sons Walter, Edward and Peter as well as her older sister Lydia Wroblewski.

It was always Lucy's nature to put the needs of others before her own and she constantly helped out where ever she could. Lucy was a devote Catholic and a long time member of the Catholic Women's League of Holy Rosary Parish. She would lift spirits that were down by encouraging with uplifting stories, as well as offers of prayer to Christ for help.

Lucy worked for many years the afternoon shift at Harding Carpets, looking for a change she worked on a night course to obtain her hairdressing license. She then had Joe build a hairdressing shop in the basement of their home and for years operated the business until arthritis in her hands caused her to close. She then worked at the University of Guelph cafeteria, as well as a short time in Canadian Tire.

Mom loved to travel and visited her son's, grandchildren and great grandchildren every year for two weeks for many years. Lucy also traveled to Poland, other parts of Europe, the Holy Land, the Vatican, Cuba, many parts of the USA and Canada.

Lucy always liked to be the centre of attention, when she entered a room she lit it up with a happy smile and her many stories. Lucy was an excellent cook and fed everyone who entered her home, be it her famous homemade perogies or desserts such as five layer black forest cake, honey cake, apple strudel, carrot cake or tortes.

She leaves to mourn her passing many nieces and nephews as well and other extended family in Canada and Poland.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held. Interment at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
