Venturato, Maria -

Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Maria (Colusso) Venturato in her 84th year, was the beloved wife of the late Nazzareno (Nick) Venturato (2018). She was the loving mother of Franco (Kathleen), Brenda and her husband Rod Messner, and Ester and her husband Bruno Domenichini. Maria was the proud Nonna of Markus (Lauren), Katrina, Natalie, Holt, Connor, Daniel and Steven. She was the dear sister of Gabriella Bresolin of Switzerland, Noemi Crema and Armando Colusso both of Italy and of the late Enrico Colusso. Survived by nieces and nephews.

Mom / Nonna will always be remembered for love and devotion to her children and grandchildren. Family and friends were always dear to her. Maria had a passion for her flowers and gardens. She was a beloved friend who always had an open door and table set for family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but in our hearts forever. Love you Mom / Nonna.

Roger and I were so very sad to learn of Maria's passing. We had just had a lengthy phone conversation a few days before where we shared all the news of our families, and with each of us having seven grandchildren, it took some time! She was so very proud of each and everyone of you! And how she loved to cook for you! She had enjoyed Christmas even though it wasn't possible to see all of you, she hoped it wouldn't be long before she could.
Our friendship with Nick and Maria began some thirty plus years ago when we met at our beloved park homes in Elora. Our mutual love of flowers gave us many hours of enjoyment together not to mention our evening coffees!
In that last phone call Maria expressed to me that "I really miss Nick but I talk to him" Today our greatest wish is that they are walking arm and arm through a beautiful flower garden that we can't even imagine!
To all the family we say 'You were blessed with the very best!'

Dear Brenda and family, I was so saddened by the passing of your mom. She was life itself! I remember having some great conversations with her while painting and papering. She was a wonderful, warm, loving, giving, lady, who always saw the best in everyone. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences. Pat Lanfranchi
