I have known Reba since March 1977. Arriving in Canada as a newlywed my husband and I were welcomed into Reba and Caesar’s home. We were only supposed to stay a month but, we all got along so well , that we stayed for three months. Reba impressed me with her flair and generosity, she made us feel at home and even lent me a jacket for my first Canadian winter. Reba was so kind I thought she was the best person to be god mother for my first born son . Along the years we have had many wonderful moments . Regardless of the distance, we visited each other often, I remember a lot of trips with the kids to the beach and camping. She loved my cooking, her favourite dish was cebiche She called me tia maria and it made me feel loved by her. I could go on and on about my friendship with Reba, so I will conclude with this; Reba castillo was a very humble, generous and hard working woman. She was a person who didn’t see a point in complaining which I greatly admired. We will miss her dearly and treasure her memories forever. Reba Rest In Peace , from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love and kindness when we needed it the most. With love, maria and manuel torres.
