Richard "Dick" White was considered a member of our family, and we always called him, "Uncle Dick". He came to our family from Variety Village, taking a room at the home of my Grandparents, Charles & Mabel Dollack. He was a mere 17 years old. He was embraced by the entire Dollack family immediately. My Mother considered him her "brother' and always loved him & had a special spot in her heart for him.

Uncle Dick was the one who drove my Mom to the Grace Hospital the night I was born. Sixty-four & a half years ago.
We enjoyed many holidays together at the family cottage on Stoney Lake in the Kawarthas. We had a lot of fun together. My Dad & him were inseparable and Aunt Lynne & my Mon were the same. Cooking in the kitchen, laughing & joking with the kids.
Uncle Dick was the MC at my wedding in 1978 and Aunt Lynne made the wedding cake. They were a very big part of my life growing up and I will always treasure the times & the memories.
I will miss my Uncle very much. Luckily, our time spent together has afforded me many precious memories. I can hear his voice & his laugh. It's not something I will never forget.....ever. I love you Uncle Dick today & always.
Karen
