Driussi, Rita Mary Ann –

Passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Friday, February 15, 2019. Rita Mary Ann (Barei) Driussi in her 76th year, was the beloved wife of Lino Driussi for 54 years. She was the loving mother of Ingrid Driussi (Richard Jones), Rosemary Campagnolo (Anthony) and Robert Driussi. Rita was the proud grandmother of Noah (Sarah), Lola and Scarlet. She was the dear sister of Louis Barei (Pam) and of the late Angelo Barei. Predeceased by her parents Ernesto and Mary Barei.

Rita had more than 30 wonderful years working at Imperial Tobacco and always went to work with a smile. She loved working there and had lots of fun with all her friends.

Our Mother’s passions were her work and her family. She took care of us with much love and devotion and will be greatly missed.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. Donation cards are available at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel (519-822-4731), or online at

A private family service was held at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery Guelph. Our family would like to thank Dr. Garry Wallace for his incredible care and compassion.

Dearest Lino, Ingrid, Rosie, Robert and families, words cannot describe the most profound sorrow in learning of the passing of my dear friend, your wife, mother and grandmother. Rita had a heart of gold, she was so warm and genuinely caring and always took sincere part in conversation always with kind words and sincereity. Over the last 54 years of knowing Rita, I always felt a most loving bond, she was with me in person, spirit and love dujring my times of need and always. I walked in spirit with Rita during the last 2 years and enjoyed our many long telephone conversations. She was a courageous and loving lady. I will miss Rita with all my heart but know she is now at rest. I will always remember her and her big heart. My love to you all. Sandra Pobega... We have truly lost a wonderful lady.
