Susan Romistrowicz (nee Carver-Smith)

Passed away peacefully on November 2, 2020 at the age of 73, with her family by her side. Her loving husband of 51 years Stanislaw Romistrowicz, her beloved children Jason and his partner Sherise, Daniel and his wife Anja will sadly miss Susan. Her treasured grandchildren Kyle, Cassandra, Nathaniel, Mattia and Roman. Her brother Roger, his wife Patricia and their family, Sister-in-law Lorraine Carver-Smith and her family, Mother-in-law Emilia Romistrowicz, Sister-in-law Christina and her family, Brother-in-law John Romistrowicz. Cremation has taken place and the Family Memorial Service will be held.

Susan was born on February 18th, 1947 in Nottingham, England. Shortly after immigrating to Canada, Susan was introduced to Stanislaw through her brother Roger. A spark of love ignited which would forever continue to blaze bright throughout 51 wonderful years of marriage.

As a seamstress Susan took great pride in every stitch, her love, sorrows and pain woven into the fabric. Each item a chapter of her life.

A special thanks to the nurses and doctors at Guelph General Hospital for their thoughtful loving care.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Scleroderma Ontario would be appreciated by the family.

A Quilter treasures life moments
One stitch at a time.
She knows the joy of patiently creating
Work of art that can only grow
More precious with the gift of years.
She tells a beautiful story
With patterns and colours, and
The patchwork of her life is woven with threads
Of laughter and tears, memories and dreams.
A quilter understands the value
Of preserving the past
And has a heart gentle enough to stitch
The gift of love into our lives for the future.
A quilter knows the blessing
of treasuring life moment one stitch at a time.
